about Kim Johnson

Having gotten the bug early on from my grandmother, I have been knitting for almost 60 years off and on. After serving 32 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, I finally got around to being serious about yarn and knitting when I opened my own yarn store in Anoka over six years ago. Here we have offered classes on a variety of subjects from basic knitting and crocheting to more advanced techniques like corrugated ribbing, double knitting, and colorwork to name a few. We have also conducted simple one day workshops on darning socks, blocking processes, etc. During 2023, I acquired my Certified Knitting Instructor and Certified Knitting Teacher credentials from the Craft Yarn Council. I look forward to working with a variety of students and helping them create something new!
